According to Mr. Xu, “at the moment we primarily export quick-frozen garlic and quick-frozen ginger to supermarkets and processing factories in Europe. Overseas market demand differs between countries based on how well they are handling the pandemic, especially when it comes to opening or closing restaurants. That has a definite effect on the decline of market demand.”
In the end, when overseas demand began to decline, the spread of Covid-19 in China was largely brought under control. The domestic market is gradually recovering. Take Rizhao Green Extension Food Co., Ltd. as an example, about 10% of the sales volume is sold in the domestic market. That number was somewhat higher in the last year or so.
