Bioenterprise is setting up a northern Ontario agri-food technology hub with funding from the federal government’s Fednor agency.
The $588,744 will allow Bioenterprise Corporation to target investment in agri-food in Northern Ontario.
The program will provide more than 40 businesses with access to tools and resources to start up, scale up and commercialize new products.
“We are thrilled to help bridge the gap in the agricultural innovation ecosystem by connecting agriculture and food-tech businesses with services and investors to accelerate business growth in Northern Ontario,” said Dave Smardon, president and CEO, of Bioenterprise Corporation.
Bioenterprise is a Guelph-based organization that helps grow agriculture and agri-food technology companies. It is in the process of growing its national footprint.
