The Ekölo association, based in Bréal-sous-Monfort (near Rennes, in Ille-et-Villaine), and producers of the apple (Sarthe) are joining forces to build an educational vegetable garden for children on vacation camps and for the youth from the medical-educational institute (IME), partner of the association. During a meeting day on Sunday, April 18th, 2021, the parents, children and producers will work together to build the vegetable garden. The producers will help by planting apple trees and melliferous plants, and by installing insect hotels. This day will allow producers to share their arboricultural knowledge and make children and their parents aware of environmental issues.

Collaborative project
From April 15th to May 15th, 2021, each product of the range (see below) sold in stores, will contribute to the construction of a collaborative vegetable garden. Ekölo will invite summer camp children and the youth from the medical-educational institute of Bréal to carry out this cooperative project. The common goal is to reconnect children with nature, especially through the seasonality of fruit and vegetables. They will be accompanied throughout this project by producers.
