Plastic-Puglia, a company founded in Monopoli in 1967 covering over 100.000 sq m and with 200 employees, is a global leader in the production of complete systems for precision irrigation. It manufactures irrigation and fertigation systems for both greenhouses and open fields and even supplies the most recent remote management software. The distribution network reaches over 50 countries worldwide with clients in Europe, US, Middle East, South America, Asia and Africa. Its vast catalogue includes innovative solutions for micro-irrigation and fertigation such as high- and low-density polyethylene pipes, PVC layflat pipes and hoses. All these products help increase product yields thanks to a better management of water and nutrition even in extreme conditions.
“Our irrigation systems provide crops with the water and nutrients strictly necessary for their development and production. The Aquatape and Aquadrop hoses and Gold-Drip e Aquapress driplines guarantee a constant water supply, reaching 90-95% efficiency. With AquaPro, a software that remotely manages the entire system autonomously and with precision, it is possible to process all information concerning climate conditions, humidity, rainfall, wind speed and leaf wetness,” explains Emiliano Colucci, general manager of the Group.
Plastic-Puglia is also meeting the new needs of digital agriculture by developing decision support systems (DSS) to help technicians manage crops.
