Vancouverites don’t have to travel far to eat at “Canada’s Best Restaurant.” They need only head to 3593 Main St.
Local eatery Published on Main (read our review here) took the top spot on the list of the country’s 100 best restaurants for 2022. This year’s list marks the first post-pandemic assemblage of top restaurants by the Canada’s 100 Best team, which prompted the shakeup of a few of the judging panel’s rules.
“In the past, we have always asked of our judges to vote on the complete dining experience: service, decor, the depth of the cellar — and, above all else, the quality of the food. This time, to broaden the class of restaurants we recognize, we asked our judges to simply vote for great food wherever they found it. Further, to help even the playing field between those restaurants in cities that were in total lockdown while others were open for business, we told judges that they were free to assess restaurant quality based on takeout,” according to the website.
Published on Main is joined by 16 other Vancouver eateries on the hot 100 list, including:
