A handful of Vancouver restaurants, and their respective chef teams, will be cooking for a cause from June 30 to July 4.

David Hawksworth of Hawksworth Restaurant and Nightingale, Yoann Therer of L’Abattoir, Sean Reeve and Ralph Cravalho of The Mackenzie Room, Sean Reeve and Mathew Bishop of Say Mercy!, Jakob Kent of Como Taperia, and Alex Chen and Roger Ma of Boulevard will be taking part in the inaugural Chef Collective initiative.

Spearheaded by the beverage brand S.Pellegrino, the dining event will see up to $100,000 donated to select foundations supporting workers in the hospitality industry, which has been disproportionally impacted by the pandemic, including the B.C. Hospitality Foundation, Canadian Hospitality Foundation and Montreal Restaurant Workers Relief Fund

The five-day dining initiative will also feature restaurant partners in Ontario and Quebec and will include dine-in (where permitted), takeout and delivery.

The chefs and restaurant teams have curated tasting menus to be paired with a complimentary bottle of S.Pellegrino sparkling water. Full sales will go toward the individual restaurants, according to a news release.
