Founded in 2004 by Michael Kirban and Ira Liran, Vita Coco has become a household name in the healthy beverage world. Its flagship coconut water, Vita Coco, lines the shelves of grocery stores across the US and worldwide, and its product range has evolved to include new flavours, clean energy drinks and protein-infused water.
As the company has grown, Vita Coco’s mission has become as integral to the brand as its drinks, and after balancing people, purpose and profit on the way to its B Corp Certification, Vita Coco has invested in its employees’ development once more.
Vita Coco has partnered with THRIVE, implementing its learning, skills and comms platform to connect, engage and upskill its 300 employees in the US, UK and Singapore.
The first platform of its kind at Vita Coco, THRIVE’s introduction marks a significant step forward in its L&D plans and employee value proposition (EVP).
It will be used to reach remote teams, share key updates and wins, fuel employees’ development with personalised, bite-sized training, circulate knowledge through user-generated content, and give Alex Morrissey, learning & development manager, the output and impact of a much larger L&D team.
Alex Morrissey said: “We’re delighted to be working with THRIVE to create epic learning experiences for our people. The hybrid working model is here to stay, and as we welcome more employees across the US and overseas, maintaining that connection between each other and the opportunities to grow at Vita Coco is so important.
“THRIVE’s platform feels intuitive and modern, and with its AI capabilities creating a completely personalised experience for each learner, I know it’s going to be a huge success.”
