July 19, 2022 – Earlier today Cargill broke ground on its new $350 million canola processing facility in Regina, Sask. Cargill marked the start of construction for its new $350 million canola processing facility in Regina, Sask. with a ceremonial ground-breaking on July 19. The new state-of-the-art facility is projected to have an annual production capacity of 1 million metric tons and will support the growing global demand for canola products. Cargill anticipates the project to be completed by 2024. The new Regina facility will be Cargill’s second canola processing facility in Saskatchewan and third in Western Canada.
