Starting tomorrow, Natural Grocers plans to kick off a 67th anniversary campaign offering customers discounts and treats plus a chance to win over $128,000 in prizes, including a Tesla car.
Lakewood, Colo.-based Natural Grocers said it will wrap its Aug. 18-20 celebration around what would have been the 101st birthday of co-founder Margaret Isely, who with her husband opened their first store 67 years ago in Golden, Colo., after raising interest in natural food by going door-to-door handing out samples of homemade whole grain bread. Today, the organic and natural grocery retailer — operated by the second and third generations of the Isely family — has 163 locations in 21 states.
The anniversary promotion will deliver “Epic Savings” of up to 60% off more than 500 products, including groceries, vitamins and supplements, and body care products throughout the store, Natural Grocers said. Some of the items offering savings include C2O Pure Coconut Water, Kicking Horse Organic Coffee, Zum Laundry Soaps, Cocomels Chocolate Covered Coconut Milk Caramels, multiple Natural Grocers Brand Products, Beyond Meat products, and a variety of supplement brands.
The grand prize of the Anniversary Sweepstakes will be a Tesla Model 3, or $47,000 cash (courtesy of C20 Pure Coconut Water and Steaz). Other prizes are a Specialized Turbo Levo SL Comp Bike, a Gold Apple Watch, Lomi Composters, gift cards, vendor gift boxes, free groceries and more. Customers can also win a $500 Natural Grocers gift card by counting the party hats sprinkled throughout the pages of the August good4u Health Hotline magazine, which can be picked up at any Natural Grocers.
Also, members of {N}power, Natural Grocers’ free loyalty program, will have access to additional promotions on groceries and gifts throughout the store, including Daily Doorbuster Deals, limited-edition reusable shopping bags and chocolate. And customers who visit Natural Grocers on Thursday, Aug. 18, 1-6 p.m., can enjoy a free frozen dessert (dairy and non-dairy options available).
Natural Grocers will donate 1% of all sales from Thursday, Aug. 18, to the Natural Grocers Heroes in Aprons Fund, a nonprofit organization established in 2021 to provide short-term financial assistance to qualifying Natural Grocers good4u crew members or their immediate family members who have encountered unanticipated hardships due to sickness, natural disasters or other unforeseen circumstances.
