Vancouver’s beloved Vietnamese restaurant – Anh and Chi – earns a Michelin Bib Gourmand designation for a second year in a row, and now their artisanal sauces are available at select groceries across Canada.

VANCOUVER, BC (October 10, 2023): One of Vancouver’s best restaurants, Anh and Chi, earns a Michelin Bib Gourmand designation for a second year in a row for their authentic Vietnamese recipes, creative cocktails, luscious dining room, and excellence in service and community contribution. With their success, Anh and Chi have officially launched two artisanal Vietnamese dipping sauces: Mẹ’s Sweet Soy Sauce and  Mẹ’s Chilli Fish Sauce, the “secret ingredient” to many of Mẹ’s (mom’s) recipes at home and their award-winning restaurant. 

Mẹ’s Marketplace was born at a pivotal time during the COVID-19 pandemic but is here to stay not only because of its demand for everyday kitchens, but also as a tribute to their mother’s legacy of bringing Asian flavours and spices to home-cooked meals from her kitchen in Vancouver, now to the rest of Canada. 

The family’s commitment to crafting locally sourced, small-batch and BIPOC women-owned products have led to partnering with passionate independent retailers and grocers and other Canadian businesses, like Fresh Prep, Stong’s Market, and Welk’s General Store, selling over 20,000 bottles across British Columbia and Alberta since launching in Spring 2022.
