SN Top 10: Walgreens, Giant Eagle, Kroger top the week’s headlines

In this week’s recap of the Top 10 most popular Supermarket News articles, the top story was about Walgreens losing its chief human resources officer. This is the latest in a string of top-level departures for the pharmacy giant. Holly May, who held the role since October 2021, is leaving the Deerfield, Ill.-based company for an “external opportunity on the West Coast, according to an internal memo sent to employees last Wednesday from new CEO Tim Wentworth and obtained by Crain’s Chicago Business. Friday was May’s last day.
