A day after the Minnesota Department of Health found a ready-to-eat charcuterie board sold at a Sam’s Club in the house of someone who had fallen ill, the manufacturer of the product has issued a recall, reports CBS news.
Fratelli Beretta USA Inc., which makes Busetto brand charcuterie samplers, has recalled over 11,000 pounds of charcuterie boards due to a possible salmonella contamination. The boards were made on Oct. 30, 2023, and were shipped to Sam’s Clubs in Illinois, Georgia, Ohio, Minnesota, and other states.
Sam’s Club is offering a refund for those purchases.
A warning about a possible salmonella contamination was made by health officials in Minnesota after the state’s Department of Health tested an unopened sampler at the home of a person who fell ill. The results came back positive for salmonella.
The three-meat sampler contained prosciutto, sweet sopressata, and dry coppa, but Minnesota health officials do not know which meat was tainted.
