Schnucks starts major renovations at two Missouri locations

Schnuck Markets, Inc. has announced total store remodels at two of its Missouri locations — one in Cross Keys in Florissant, Mo., and another in Hampton Village in St. Louis.

Highlights of the Cross Keys remodel include:

  • New customer entrances
  • New lighting and décor
  • Expanded and relocated bakery department
  • New and relocated wine, beer and liquor department
  • Relocated and renovated seafood department
  • Relocated fresh sushi area
  • Expanded frozen food and dairy departments with case replacements
  • Renovated produce department
  • Renovated and expanded deli department
  • New and relocated CVS pharmacy
  • New and relocated floral department
  • New check lanes and self-checkouts

The current 63,000-square-foot Cross Keys location opened in 2003 and marks the third Schnucks store to operate at the corner of North Lindbergh Boulevard and New Halls Ferry Road since 1967. The store has 128 employees. In addition to Cross Keys, Schnucks operates four other stores in the city of Florissant: Charbonier, Florissant, Grandview and Shackelford.

Highlights of the Hampton Village remodel include:

  • New lighting and décor
  • New refrigeration system
  • Expanded and relocated bakery department
  • Expanded and relocated wine, beer and liquor department
  • Relocated and renovated seafood department
  • Relocated fresh sushi area
  • Relocated and expanded frozen food and dairy departments
  • Renovated and expanded deli and produce departments
  • New cheese shop
  • New check lanes and self-checkouts

Schnucks acquired the current 63,000-square-foot Hampton Village store as part of the 1995 National acquisition, and it is the second Schnucks to operate in the Hampton Village shopping plaza. The store has 16 employees. In addition to Hampton Village, Schnucks operates seven other stores in the city of St. Louis: Arsenal, City Plaza, Downtown, Hampton & Gravois, Lindell, Loughborough and South City.

Both remodels are expected to be complete by late fall 2024. During and after the remodels, customers can continue to utilize Schnucks Delivers and Curbside Pickup through Instacart.
