Walgreens to Add Claire’s Assortment in 4,400+ Stores

Walgreens will integrate jewelry, hair accessories, cosmetics and seasonal pieces from Claire’s into the assortment of more than 4,400 stores by the end of this month. Each participating location will have dedicated displays merchandised by Claire’s in their seasonal sections.

“As a one-stop destination for everyday needs, Walgreens services millions of people every day,” said Ryan Vero, CEO at Claire’s in a statement. “Together we will extend Claire’s trend-driven shopping experience to new and existing customers, giving Walgreens shoppers more to love, fostering deeper connections and inspiring self-expression.”

Claire’s has focused on partnering with complementary retailers and big-box merchants in order to boost its market presence. For example, the “Gen Zalpha” brand focused on expanding its presence in grocery stores and mass merchants like Walmart in 2023 and forged a shop-in-shop partnership with Macy’s in late 2022.

“Walgreens is proud to offer a wide assortment of must-haves for its customers,” said Dale Johnson, Group VP and General Merchandise Manager at Walgreens in a statement. “Whether they’re wanting to purchase a thoughtful and unique gift, or treat themselves, adding Claire’s fashion accessories ensures customer have access to a wider variety of options.”

In February 2024 Claire’s named IMG as its global licensing partner to create a range of Claire’s-branded products. That same month, the retailer announced plans for The Collab, a platform for “Gen Zalpha” to share their stories and perspectives.
