Lauren Steinberg, senior vice president, Media, Loyalty and Loblaw Digital at Loblaw Companies, and Doug Nathanson, executive vice president, chief development officer and general counsel for Empire Company and Sobeys Inc., have been recognized in The Globe and Mail’s Report on Business Best Executives Awards.
Steinberg won a Best Executive Award for sustainability and DEI. Nathanson was recognized in the operations category.
Now in its fifth year, The Globe and Mail’s annual Best Executive Awards celebrates non-CEO leaders at the SVP, EVP and C-suite levels who are making an impact on their business and demonstrate excellent leadership skills.
The 2024 winners represent the best of Canadian leadership, says The Globe and Mail, in six functional areas: Finance; Human Resources; Operations; Sales and Marketing; Technology; and Sustainability and DEI.
Winning executives were chosen after a call for nominations for non-CEO Canadian leaders at public and private businesses, not-for-profits, associations, and academic institutions as well as nominations from the Report on Business newsroom. Nominations were assessed by the Report on Business editorial team based on career background, leadership style, achievements, and impact.
