The Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) has unveiled the names of the 20 participants chosen to take part in the 2024 Passion for Produce (PFP) program, set to kick off in Vancouver.
Launched by CPMA in 2010, the PFP program provides professional development within the produce industry, offering a mentoring experience to young professionals during the CPMA’s Annual Convention and Trade Show.
“We are thrilled to witness such keen interest in this program among young professionals in our industry,” said Ron Lemaire, president of CPMA. “PFP provides participants with invaluable mentorship and educational opportunities within a dynamic and engaging environment. It enables them to broaden their professional network and knowledge base beyond the confines of their current roles.”
During the three-day Convention and Trade Show, PFP participants will be paired with industry mentors for interactive sessions, networking events, and more, allowing them to glean insights into the workings of the fresh produce sector in Canada.
“Through PFP, participants forge enduring relationships with mentors, fellow candidates, and industry luminaries, which serve as guiding lights throughout their careers,” Lemaire added.
