Too Good To Go, the world’s largest marketplace for selling surplus food, is pleased to announce a new head of its Canadian operations, Andrea Li. The Country Director position is Too Good To Go’s highest leadership role in each market. In this role Li will be responsible for the Canadian business operations across Too Good To Go’s three hubs and 45+ employees.
Since launching in July 2021 TGTG has expanded to every province across Canada, has saved more than 4M meals from waste from more than 9K partners across the country via the app, which has been downloaded by more than two million Canadians. In less than three years in Canada, Too Good To Go has helped businesses earn more than $18M in incremental revenue by selling their surplus food, while helping Canadians to save more than $53M on food they would otherwise purchase at full price. With this hire, TGTG has moved from a new entry startup in the market, to an industry leader, all while still in a hyper- growth stage.
Li, a tech veteran, was selected to usher the company into this new era. Her background in high-growth technology sectors for companies with global operations such as Amazon. Google and Clearco, give her the depth of knowledge, industry expertise and proven record of high-level success to lead Too Good To Go’s latest chapter.
Too Good To Go, the only registered B-Corp in the food waste sector in Canada, continues to scale. The company is set to announce more national partnerships in the coming months, with further innovation being introduced via a new AI-driven product, which will revolutionise a new line of business.
