Building on its reputation as a destination for outdoor grilling, Ace Hardware has launched the private label Loud Mouth Barbeque line of sauces and rubs — its first edible product offerings. The sauces are priced for accessibility at $8.99 for a 19.4-ounce bottle and $6.99 per container of the rubs, which vary in size by flavor.
Additionally, the retailer-owned hardware cooperative is marking its 100th anniversary in 2024 with Vintage Threads, a private label collection of shirts and hats featuring historic logos from the company’s history.
“We are proud to introduce this line of apparel that honors the legacy of Ace Hardware,” said Kim Lefko, Chief Marketing Officer at Ace Hardware in a statement. “Vintage Threads is a tribute to the dedication of the families who operate more than 5,000 locally owned Ace stores that serve communities across the United States.”
Ace Hardware partnered with American Needle to create the apparel line, which have a retro look and feel to match the historic logos. One of the early Ace logos features a vintage plane, drawing inspiration from the name “Ace” that was coined to honor the “flying aces” of World War I.
The apparel is available at Ace Hardware stores and its website, as well as at other national retailers, including Urban Outfitters, Lids, Tillys and Fanatics. Ace plans to expand the line with additional designs and pieces.
