Trade Show to Highlight 100% B.C. Brands

On May 9, 2024 in The PNE Forum (Vancouver) Good to Grow held its 6th annual From the Ground Up Trade Show. The only 100% B.C. trade show that connects local food and beverage brands at all stages of business to multi-channel buyers, distributors, brokers, chefs, media, and other food industry supporters.

2024 was the biggest show yet with 76 B.C. brands and a 38% increase in ticket sales from 2023. More than half of the exhibiting brands had never participated in From the Ground Up, keeping the trade show floor exciting for returning attendees. Diversity and representation was strong among the brands with 67% women owned, 32% persons of colour owned, and 20% immigrant / new Canadian owned.

Products ranged from plant-based sushi, mushroom jerky, superfood milk mixes, scratch-made ramen, diabetic friendly snacks, allergen-free proteins, seed-to-bottle hot sauce, Halal ready-to-eat meals, functional pop, vegan waffles, and more!

The 2024 winners for Best Product (voted on by attendees) were: Hazel’s Ice Cream (Gold), Konscious Foods (Silver), and Big Mountain Foods (Bronze).
