TORONTO — Food Cycle Science launches Eco 3, an electric food recycler that turns food scraps into a dry, odour-free by-product, preventing methane emissions from landfill decomposition.
Bradley Crepeau, CEO of Food Cycle Science, said, “The Eco 3 offers a convenient and accessible everyday solution that helps to reduce household food waste while seamlessly integrating into today’s modern kitchen.”
Eco 3 grinds hard food scraps like bones, shells, pits and fibrous vegetables, while eliminating their accompanying odors. It has a removable bucket that can process up to 3.5 litre of food waste within a few hours.
“The Eco 3 was designed to be a staple appliance, suited for everyday use fitting in alongside everyday countertop essentials,” said Jerry Wang, VP of Engineering and Innovation at Food Cycle Science.
The product is priced at $499.99 USD and $599 CAD, inclusive of free shipping and a 3-year product warranty.
