If you like your dinner with a side of drama, you’re in luck.

The Perfect Bite, A Dining Experience is coming to Vancouver Oct. 4 through December 22. Billed as a “one-of-a-kind murder mystery dinner experience,” the event will take place at Glowbal Restaurant (510 W Georgia St.).

A popular dining attraction in Toronto, where it’s still on through Sept. 29., the limited-seating event reportedly sold out over three consecutive months, serving more than 3,000 dinner guests.

Created by Secret City in collaboration with Netflix, the dining event is inspired by the 2022 film Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, starring Daniel Craig as detective Benoit Blanc.

The local take sees guests served a four-course meal by Chef Maribelle Moore “while solving a thrilling whodunit with a live cast of intriguing characters,” according to a news release.

Featuring six actors and 52 guests seated at tables of four, The Perfect Bite mystery is carried out — and solved — over the course of the 2 1/2-hour meal service. The main menu features an appealing lineup of dishes including an Arancini ball, mushroom ‘cigar,’ braised short ribs main, and cheesecake for dessert. Vegan and vegetarian options are also available, by request.

A preview trailer for the dinner experience, set to a perfect mood-setting piano piece, shows guests enjoying their meal while mulling over potential clues.

Tickets to the Vancouver mystery dinner experience are $178 per person or $640 for a table of four. ‘Prime time’ seatings, those on Fridays and Saturdays, are priced at $196 per person or $704 for a table of four. Tickets and additional information are available online at Secretcityadventures.com.
