The Quality Group (TQG), based near Hamburg, has chosen Centric Software’s ‘Centric PLM’ as a key tool in its mission to drive international growth, streamline product development, and maintain compliance across its expanding operations.

Known for producing high-quality sports nutrition products under its flagship brands, ESN, More Nutrition, and Foodist, The Quality Group has experienced rapid growth, generating over €680 million in annual sales and employing a team of more than 1,200 people.

TQG’s success is largely attributed to its unique digital direct-to-consumer and social commerce business model, which has fuelled its swift expansion. However, this growth has also introduced new challenges, particularly in managing an increasingly complex product portfolio.

“As we embark on a company-wide business transformation, we identified an opportunity to develop digital product management expertise,” says Nicolas Lother, Chief Product Officer at TQG. “Our rapidly expanding portfolio and growth model adds a level of complexity to our business, and we need a best-in-class PLM solution to speed-up the process.”

In search of a digital solution that could streamline product and specification management, accelerate development, and improve handling of recipes and bills of materials, TQG evaluated various PLM options. Centric PLM stood out for its robust functionality, user-friendly interface, and strong customer references within the industry.

Mr. Lother highlighted the importance of a solution that could optimise the entire product lifecycle across TQG’s multiple brands, markets, and sales channels. Centric Software’s comprehensive approach and responsiveness during the selection process, including setting up demo sessions and tailored use cases, further solidified their decision.

“We are in a competitive, rapidly changing industry and need to constantly develop new, high-quality products that we can get to market quickly. Our entire sales and business models are transforming, and we are confident Centric is the right partner to support our evolution and growth,” added Mr. Lother.

Chris Groves, CEO of Centric Software, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, saying, “We are proud to welcome TQG to the Centric Software family. We are excited to support TQG’s business and digital transformation and look forward to nurturing this winning partnership over the long term.”
