Hain Celestial sells ParmCrisps to Our Home

Hain Celestial Group divests its ParmCrisps snack brand to Our Home, an independent snacks company. The financial details of the acquisition weren’t revealed. However, the proceeds from the sale will be used to pay down Hain’s debt. The deal also includes ParmCrisps’ production facility in York, Pa.

“By divesting ParmCrisps, we can continue to prioritize driving market reach and category scale of our core better-for-you brands,” said Wendy Davidson, Hain Celestial Group president and CEO, in a media statement. “This transaction further simplifies our better-for-you portfolio and streamlines our supply chain for operational efficiency and margin expansion.”

Earlier this year, Hain decided to simplify its global operating footprint by selling off some brands and focusing on accelerating growth in key product segments such as baby and kids food, beverages, meal prep, and personal care. This was followed by the divestiture of Thinsters cookie brand to J&J Snack Foods this spring.

“We are very excited to have the ParmCrisps manufacturing family join our team,” said Aaron Greenwald, founder and CEO of Our Home, in a press release. “The combination of our Sonoma Creamery [which it acquired earlier this year] and ParmCrisps talent will drive tremendous IP and knowledge sharing, benefitting both brands, our retail partners and most importantly, our consumers.”

Our Home has a portfolio of snack brands including Food Should Taste Good, Popchips, Real Food From The Ground Up, You Need This, RW Garcia, Good Health, Sonoma Creamery, and Pop Secret.
