Saputo makes several leadership changes, effective immediately, following last month’s appointment of Carl Colizza as president and CEO.

Frank Guido has been named COO. He will oversee operations across North America, Europe, and international markets. All divisional presidents and COOs will report to Guido, who has 25 years of experience in the CPG sector. He previously served as president and COO of the dairy division (USA). He will report directly to Colizza.

Leanne Cutts has been appointed chief commercial officer. She joined Saputo in 2021 as president and COO (international and Europe). With over 30 years in the food and beverage industry, Cutts will also report to Colizza.

Dominick Bombino has been promoted to president and COO of the dairy division (USA). Bombino, who has been with Saputo for over 25 years, previously served as senior VP of sales for the dairy division (USA).

Steve Douglas has been appointed president and COO of the dairy division (UK). Douglas, who has been with Saputo for over 30 years, most recently held the role of senior VP of operations and supply chain for the dairy division (USA).

Tom Atherton will leave Saputo to pursue other opportunities. He will remain with the company until the end of the year to assist in the transition. Atherton has served as president and COO of the dairy division (UK) since 2019, following Saputo’s acquisition of Dairy Crest Group.

“This team is proven, deeply capable, and prepared to set the course for our continued success,” said Colizza. “Each of these accomplished executives has played a pivotal part in our company over the years and through their expanded roles, we will further leverage their talent and expertise as we continue to drive long-term growth and operational excellence throughout our organization.”
