A collection of award-winning flavoured spirits, developed and crafted in the UK and used by some of the world’s best hotels, bars and restaurants is now available for people to use at home.
Diistil is an on-demand distillery serving some of the UK’s finest venues, including One Aldwych, The London Peninsula Hotel, Experimental Cocktail Club, Michelin Star restaurant Aulis and WatchHouse coffee shops. Now, at home drinkers can also get their hands on a bottle.
Born from a desire to shake up the spirits industry with innovative new flavours after recognising clear gaps in the market, Diistil creates spirits that push the boundaries of flavour and creativity. Each spirit is handcrafted, and double vacuum distilled, incorporating a unique maceration technique designed to capture the purity of the chosen ingredients. Consumers can even request a bespoke spirit to be created for any occasion – all done at their state-of-the-art distillery in London.
Also known as a ‘distillate’ – simply meaning the vapour in a distillation that is collected and condensed into a liquid, Diistil is a premium product with no artificial flavourings or extracts added after distillation.
There are six flavours to choose from, each using ingredients selected for their quality and unique taste profile and carefully developed to enjoy on the rocks, topped up with tonic or to add your own twist to a well-known cocktail.
Jalapeño: the distillation process of the Jalapeño has captured the unique essence of the pepper without the heat. The warm notes make this ideal for a Tommy’s Margarita or simply mixed with a quality tonic.
Yuzu: Yuzu is perfumed on the nose with a tangy citrus bitterness towards the end – pour it over ice and top it up with your favourite tonic or try it out in a Collins.
Black Tea: tea lovers will enjoy the rich, caramel, malty notes. The perfect aperitivo for an extra special afternoon tea – works well in a grown-up iced tea or an elevated version of a mint Julep cocktail.
Other flavours in the range include Beetroot, Soy Sauce and Vanilla.
Diistil also makes an award-winning London Dry Gin. Classic botanicals are combined with fresh grapefruit, dried lemon peel, fresh basil leaves, cardamom and pink peppercorn to deliver the perfect Saturday afternoon G&T when mixed with tonic.
It isn’t just the liquid that has been carefully crafted – each glass bottle and its packaging is hand finished with the batch number and the distiller’s signature, making it extra special.
The Diistil team is led by founder and CEO Raj Batra, who launched the business with the vision to offer an on-demand distillery enabling hospitality venues and consumers across the world to create bespoke alcoholic spirits with no limit on creativity. He is supported by head distiller Maxwell Whitney, who has previously worked at Halewood Artisanal Spirits and Drink Factory and lives and breathes flavour development. Together with the broader team, Diistil has created a range of spirits that taste like nothing else on the market.
