Save A Lot has opened a microfulfillment center at its Brooklyn, N.Y. warehouse that leverages automated fulfillment technology from Fabric, allowing the supermarket retailer to support faster on-demand delivery throughout the borough via Uber Eats. Fabric’s solutions can assemble 50-item orders in just six to eight minutes, according to the company.
“Our partnership with Fabric and expansion into microfulfillment will streamline operations and allow us to offer accessibility to consumers wherever they are at competitive prices,” said Bill Mayo, COO at Save A Lot in a statement. “We’re excited to bring this affordable, convenient shopping experience to the New York market.”
Save A Lot launched a retail media network in February 2024 and deployed a traceability solution earlier this month. Spirit Halloween is working with Uber for on-demand delivery of holiday items this season, and Uber demonstrated its travel prowess with multiple activations at this summer’s Paris Olympics.
