Ingredient omission

In the UK this week, Morrisons is recalling its Crushed Garlic (75g) because an ingredient has been omitted from the product that prevents microbiological growth. This makes the recall product potentially unsafe to eat.

The recalled product has the best before date of 19 October 2025.

If you have purchased the above product, do not consume it. Instead, return it to the store where it was purchased for a full refund.

Undeclared gluten

The WilderKitchen is recalling its Wilderbee Gochujang Hot Honey (260g, 350g, 1.4kg) because it contains gluten which is not mentioned on the label. The exact cereal is currently unknown.

This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with coeliac disease and/or an allergy or intolerance to gluten or cereals containing gluten.

The recalled product includes all batches up to 426 and with the best before date of 11 May 2026.

Consumers with a coeliac disease, and/or an allergy or intolerance to gluten or cereals containing gluten, should not eat it. Instead, they are advised to return it to the store from where it was purchased for a full refund. 

Undeclared cashew nuts

P&B (Foods) Limited is recalling Heera Navratan Korma (450g) because it contains cashew nuts (nuts) which are not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to cashew nuts/nuts.

The recalled product includes the batch number 2402292 and with the best before date of 30 June 2026.

If you have bought the above product and have an allergy to cashew nuts (nuts), do not eat it. Instead, return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund. 

Potential Salmonella contamination

In the US, two brands have recalled products this week due to potential Salmonella contamination.

Salmonella can cause serious infections in people with weakened immune systems and may lead to fever, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain in healthy individuals.

Consumers should not consume these products; instead, they should either dispose of them or return them to the store where they were purchased.

Potential Listeria monocytogenes contamination

In the latest US recall, Gracie’s Kitchens is recalling all ready-to-eat fruit and vegetable products manufactured at the facility from 4 -13 November, because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes.

Listeria monocytogenes can cause severe, sometimes fatal infections, particularly in young children, the elderly, and those with weakened immune systems.

Healthy individuals may experience short-term symptoms such as fever, headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain, and diarrhoea. In pregnant women, infection can lead to miscarriage or stillbirth.

The recalled products were distributed to various grocery stores located in Connecticut and New York. 

No illnesses have been reported to date.

Consumers who have purchased any of the listed products included in the recall are urged to discard them.
