The Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario) invests $1 million in Cedar Valley Selections, a Windsor, Ont.-based family-owned company manufacturing pita chips. Cedar Valley will use the funds to install specialized equipment in its 12,000-sf plant to improve production efficiency.
“This investment helps family-owned Cedar Valley boost their productivity and meet the rising demand for their products. When we support local entrepreneurs like Cedar Valley as they grow and expand, we are supporting Canadian workers, strengthening our local economies, and ensuring Canada’s competitiveness on the global stage,” said Ruby Sahota the Minister responsible for FedDev Ontario.
“I cannot overstate the importance of the support we’ve received from the Government of Canada. Funding like this provides businesses like ours with the tools to expand operations, innovate processes, and access new markets we couldn’t have otherwise. It’s more than just financial assistance; it’s an investment in our vision and in the potential of Canadian entrepreneurs. This enables us to create meaningful job opportunities, contribute to our local economy, and share our products with a broader audience, helping us write the next chapter of growth for Cedar Valley,” added Ameen Fadel, co-founder and president, Cedar Valley.
