It’s time to shine a spotlight on Ontario’s exceptional agri-food industry individuals and organizations for the 2025 Excellence in Agriculture Award.
Nominations are now open for the provincial award, which recognizes farmers, food processors, businesses, and industry organizations that promote excellence, sustainability, and long-term competitiveness across 12 categories:
“The Excellence in Agriculture Awards provide an opportunity to honour and celebrate our agri-food leaders,” said Trevor Jones, Minister of Agriculture, Food and Agribusiness. “Ontario’s world-class agri-food leadership and talent are what give us the edge in a competitive global environment, and we look forward to recognizing their innovation and success.”
Self-nominations and nominations of individuals or businesses are open until Sept. 2 at Ontario.ca/agrifoodinnovation.
Ontario’s Agricultural Stewardship Initiative (ASI)$3 million cost-share program intake opens on Aug. 13 at 9 a.m., helping agriculture, agri-food, and agri-based businesses improve energy efficiency and increase competitiveness, sustainability, and productivity.
