Burnbrae Farms breaks ground on a new egg grading facility in Molnar Industrial Park, Strathroy, Ont.
Spanning more than 150,000-sf, the new facility is scheduled to be operational late in 2026. It will have automated case packing, palletizing and depalletizing systems, as well as a fully integrated automated storage and retrieval system. Michael + Clark Construction, a general contractor based in London, Ont., will lead the build.
The facility will also be built incorporating solar energy, heat recovery systems, and electric shore power for refrigerated trailers.
