Haven Greens Expands to Western Canada

Haven Greens, Canada’s first fully-automated greenhouse, growing crunchy, crisp, flavourful leafy greens, grown domestically in King City, Ontario, have officially expanded to all Calgary Co-Op locations, marking Haven Greens’ first retailer in Western Canada.

Haven Greens’ climate-controlled facility allows for year-round growing, providing access to its fresh lettuce regardless of the season and contributing to a healthy, secure food system for all Canadians. Currently, over 97% of leafy greens consumed by Canadians are imported – primarily from California, Arizona, and Mexico, but Haven Greens offers a Canadian alternative, making it easier than ever to support domestic food sovereignty.

Available in three varieties: Baby Green Leaf, Baby Red + Green Leaf, and Baby Spring Mix, Haven Greens’ products offer unparalleled flavour and require no washing thanks to the touchless, pesticide-free facility. Haven Greens’ lettuce also lasts up to 5 weeks, far exceeding the 2-week shelf life of field-grown alternatives.
