Lidl GB has recalled a batch of its Simply Roasted and Salted cashew nuts nationwide after confirming glass contamination, warning of a potential choking hazard in 125g packs dated best before 28 June 2026.

In the recall notice, the supermarket urged customers not to eat the nuts “due to the potential presence of glass foreign bodies which may present a choking hazard.”

Lidl added: “We apologise for any inconvenience caused and thank you for your cooperation.”

Lidl has placed point-of-sale notices in all its GB stores to explain the recall and advise on refunds. Shoppers who bought the affected cashews can return them to any Lidl branch for a full refund, with no receipt needed. The retailer said no other Simply Lidl products are affected, but it has not explained how the glass entered the production process.

Consumers seeking further information on the latest Lidl recall can contact the retailer’s customer care team at [email protected] or 0203 966 5566.
