Return on equity is the farm manager’s big picture ratio

Following record-setting attendance and sold-out rodeo nights in 2024, CWA is set to open its gates for another week of world-class livestock shows, top-tier rodeo action, entertainment, and hands-on agricultural education.

Monday, Nov. 24, is Free Admission Day courtesy of CN, welcoming visitors of all ages to start the week.

This year’s opening is further highlighted by a significant new honour for the show. Mayor Chad Bachynski has officially proclaimed the final week of November as Agribition Week in the City of Regina. The proclamation recognizes CWA’s economic, cultural, and community impact, and celebrates more than five decades of agricultural excellence in Saskatchewan’s capital city.

“Having the City of Regina proclaim Agribition Week is an incredible honour for our show and for everyone who helps bring it to life,” said Shaun Kindopp, CEO of CWA. “It reflects the community pride, the volunteers, and the producers who make this event what it is, as well as the crucial role agriculture plays in our province. We are excited to open the gates for another year and welcome guests from across Canada and around the world.”

Building on that excitement, CWA is introducing a new family-focused event this year, designed to bring even more young visitors into the heart of the show.

On Tuesday evening, CWA debuts its first-ever Agribition’s Family Night at the Chutes, presented by the Regina Pats. This fast-paced, accessible arena program offers families the chance to experience rodeo up close, with interactive moments on the dirt, youth-friendly rodeo action, and an atmosphere designed to spark curiosity and connection with animals and performers who define the CWA experience.

“Agribition’s Family Night at the Chutes is an opportunity to welcome more young visitors into the heart of the Agribition experience,” said Shaun Kindopp, CEO of CWA. “It’s an easy, budget-friendly way for families to come together after school or work, take in the excitement of the show, and start their own CWA tradition.”
