Agrain extends footprint into UK with Daymer Ingredients deal

Agrain has announced a strategic partnership with Daymer Ingredients as its exclusive distributor in the UK.

Agrain said the alliance marks a significant milestone for the sustainable and nutritious food ingredients solutions company as it extends its footprint into the United Kingdom, focusing on ingredient distribution to the bread and baked goods industry.

Agrain produces up-cycled ingredients designed to elevate the quality and sustainability of baked goods. Recognising increasing consumer demand for health-conscious and eco-friendly alternatives, Agrain’s collaboration with Daymer Ingredients aims to deliver cutting-edge, up-cycled ingredients to the UK.

“We are thrilled to announce our partnership with Daymer Ingredients, a collaboration that underscores our commitment to transforming not only the bread and baked goods industry but the general food industry and expands our reach to the UK,” says Aviaja Riemann-Andersen, founder and CEO at Agrain. “Agrain’s innovative up-cycled ingredients, combined with Daymer’s distribution prowess, will empower businesses in this sector to meet the rising demand for sustainable and health-conscious options.”

This strategic partnership will introduce a range of Agrain’s flagship ingredients – spent grain flour – to the bread and baked goods industry across the UK. Agrain works with spent grains based on a definite gastronomic value set, ensuring that the functional flour not only boosts nutrition and imparts numerous technical properties to the formulation of recipes, but also elevates the culinary value of the final products. By incorporating these natural and carefully curated aromas, Agrain said it allows manufacturers to enhance their product’s nutritional profile and sustainability, without compromising taste or quality.

“We look forward to collaborating with Agrain to deliver their innovative ingredients solutions to our B2B customers in the UK,” said James Brace, director at Daymer Ingredients. “Agrain’s dedication to quality and sustainability aligns seamlessly with our values, and we believe this partnership will drive success and innovation in the UK food industry. We aim to redefine the landscape with high-quality, sustainable ingredients.”
