Ahold Delhaize Introduces In-Store Advertising Across its 5 Grocery Banners

AD Retail Media, the retail media arm of East Coast grocery retail group Ahold Delhaize USA, is enhancing the way shoppers engage with products at the point of purchase through a range of new in-store advertising solutions. Ahold retail banners include Food Lion, Hannaford, Giant Food, The Giant Company and Stop & Shop.

“In-store advertising continues to be a vital component of our retail media strategy, enabling our CPG partners to effectively engage customers with relevant product information,” said Bobby Watts, SVP of AD Retail Media in a statement. “We are excited about the additional opportunities this partnership will create by driving enhanced visibility and impact.”

In partnership with Inmar Intelligence, Ahold Delhaize will now help CPG brands capture customers’ attention at the shelf, complementing the partners’ previous work on personalizing the omnichannel customer experience with digital coupons. CPG brands also can add a digital incentive to their in-store ads to further amplify their impact.

Late last year, Stop & Shop also introduced Savings Station kiosks in its stores to offer customers access to weekly circular digital coupons and personalized offers without the need for a smartphone.
