Amazon is set to open its first Amazon Fresh supermarket with the “Just Walk Out” cashierless technology pioneered in its smaller Amazon Go convenience stores. A 25,000-square-foot Amazon Fresh store opened on Thursday, June 17, at The Marketplace at Factoria shopping center in Bellevue, Wash.
In other news, Instacart has launched same-day grocery delivery from Costco Wholesale, Walmart Canada and Les Aliments M&M stores in French-speaking Quebec, the first time that the e-commerce company has translated its platform into another language.
