German discount grocer Aldi continued its rapid expansion across the U.S. this week, opening a new store in Palestine, Texas, on Aug. 1.
The store is Aldi’s first in the small Texas town of about 19,000 residents. Aldi now operates 128 locations in the Lone Star State.
The grocer’s largest Texas footprint is in Houston, where Aldi operates 14 stores.
The new Palestine location follows the grocery chain’s opening of four stores on July 25 and 26 in Gaithersburg, Md.; La Crosse, Wisc.; Monroe, Mich.; and Hannibal, Mo.
Aldi operated 2,393 U.S. locations as of July 23, according to Scrapehero.com.
