Anritsu Ltd has launched its class-leading X-ray inspection equipment, the brand new XR75 DualX+ to the global fish processing market, following a successful introduction to the poultry sector.
The launch of the XR75 DualX+ brings cutting-edge technology to a global market worth $624bn in 2023. Its photon counting technology, powered by a unique algorithm specifically targeting low density contaminants such as fishbones, returns manifestly sharper images, delivering superior detection capabilities and lower false rejection rates.
The new dual energy sensor breaks the limits of conventional detection performance, offering unmatched product safety for hugely popular fish products including salmon, tuna, shredded fish, block fish and many more.
The XR75 DualX+ is also ideal for detecting poultry bones and other fine fragments. Recalibrated to work with thicker products and those with highly uneven surfaces, the sensor’s improved sensitivity detects tiny bones, fine metals and low-density contaminants. It reliably detects the most miniscule of contaminants and surpasses stringent worldwide hygiene standards.
The technology is already beginning to win accolades for its design, having being officially presented with the Innovation Award at its launch to the Italian market at the Cibus Tec show.
Michael Stuart, Anritsu’s European sales director, noted how the new sensor has enabled the capture of high-resolution images and improved the performance in the detection of fine metals and small bones, routinely detecting contaminants of less than 1mm in diameter.
