Associated Food Stores (AFS), a wholesaler and cooperative serving nearly 450 supermarkets in the Intermountain West region, has adopted customer engagement, personalization and analytics solutions from Birdzi. AFS will roll out the Birdzi shopper analytics platform, personalized ad, coupon flyers and audience engagement tools first before deploying the VISPER personalization engine, with the entire process forecasted to be complete in time for the holiday season.
The VISPER solution is designed to use AFS’ and member retailers’ entire store catalogs to strategically generate custom promotional offers for each shopper. Additionally, the Birdzi analytics suite can provide customer behavior and campaign performance insights.
“Early on, we recognized Birdzi’s unique ability to enhance AFS’ customer engagement and foster loyalty across our network of member retailers,” said Jason Sokol, VP of Marketing at Associated Food Stores in a statement. “The flexibility of the Birdzi platform enables AFS to customize engagement strategies for individual stores, allowing both us and our members to operate with greater efficiency in today’s competitive grocery landscape.”
“In partnering with one of the country’s largest grocery wholesalers, Birdzi showcases the unique flexibility of our platform, which can be crafted to fit the needs of any individual retailer,” said Shekar Raman, CEO and Co-founder of Birdzi in a statement. “We’re honored to earn the confidence from our first wholesale customer.”
In July 2024 Harps Food Stores integrated the Birdzi platform with its POS system to offer shoppers real-time personalization.
