Barentz expands its human nutrition sales team by appointing Matthew Najm as account manager for Ontario.
Najm brings to Barentz more than 10 years of technical sales experience selling specialty ingredients and additives to the food industry. Most recently, he was a technical sales manager with a focus on human nutrition, and worked with food manufacturers to develop recipes for unsweetened beverages and juices, flavoured waters, carbonated energy drinks, beers, bakery and sweets, meat and poultry, chocolates, yogurts and milk, mayo-ketchup and instant puddings-drinks-custards-jellies.
Najm attended the American University of Beirut, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Food Science and Management, as well as the College des Soeurs du Rosaire, earning a Lebanese Baccalaureate Social and Economic Science.
He is fluent in English, French and Arabic, has had extensive training in a variety of specific technical food ingredients, and is an expert in flavours and fragrances.
