BJ’s Wholesale Club Plans to Open 12 New Stores, 15 Gas Stations by Q1 2025

BJ’s Wholesale Club will open five warehouse club stores in Tennessee, South Carolina, Florida and Indiana. These will be the first of 12 new locations planned for BJ’s 2024 fiscal year, which will end in February 2025; the retailer also plans to open 15 gas stations during this period.

The new stores will be located in:

  • Maryville, Tenn., in the Knoxville market, BJ’s fourth location in the Volunteer State;
  • Myrtle Beach, S.C., the second store in the Palmetto State;
  • Palm Coast and West Palm Beach, Fla., BJ’s 38th and 39th Sunshine State stores; and
  • Carmel, Ind., its second store in the Hoosier State.

“BJ’s combination of unbeatable value and convenience continues to resonate with members, and we’re pleased with the performance of our new clubs,” said Bill Werner, EVP, Strategy and Development, BJ’s Wholesale Clubs in a statement. “Our real estate pipeline is the strongest it’s been in 20 years, and we look forward to helping even more families save up to 25% off grocery store prices as we add clubs to both new and existing markets.”

The retailer currently operates 244 club stores and 175 gas stations in 20 states.
