Clark launches ready-to-serve legume line in Canada

Clark releases a new line of ready-to-serve legumes in sauce. These products were a finalists in the Food Innovation Awards competition organized by the Food Processing Council of Quebec (CTAQ).

“Canadians are increasingly looking for simple, nourishing, and flavourful meals. With this new line, we’re offering them a quick, accessible, and uniquely delicious way to add more plant-based protein to their everyday lives”, says Patricia St-Aubin, vice-president, sales and marketing.

The new legumes and flavours are:

  • black beans in a chili lime burrito sauce;
  • chickpeas in a butter chicken flavoured sauce;
  • cannellini beans in a sun-dried tomato and herbs sauce; and
  • small red beans in a sweet chili sauce

The new products are available in the canned legume aisle at major grocery chains across Canada, including IGA and Metro in Quebec, Loblaws and Superstore nationally.
