Knightor Winery has crafted a new product designed to tap into the growing industry of canned spirits, wines and cocktails. The company, renowned for its collection of fine wines and range of vermouths, is aiming to inspire a new audience with the new canned rosé spritz.

Bursting with refreshing Mediterranean flavours and zesty citrus, the new product is the first of its kind to be produced in the county.

Created by chief winemaker David Brocklehurst, only the finest ingredients have been used to establish the taste, who explains “for us, the ingredients we select are essential, both for the purity of aroma and flavour they provide.”

Inspired by the Knightor vermouth, the vision behind the idea is for the can to accompany special moments and to be enjoyed after a memorable activity with a group of friends, whether that’s on a hike, on the beach or simply in the park after a long day at work.

Gemma Kettle, marketing executive says convenience and versatility were two of the main drivers when exploring the concept.

“We wanted to create a beverage not only to be enjoyed during a memorable moment, but also for those occasions where you fancy a glass of wine, but can’t justify opening a whole bottle; a 25cl can is the perfect solution to that dilemma, Kettle explained. “The initial reaction has been excellent from both a design and taste perspective. We recently conducted a blind taste event against a market leading spritz and out of the 50 attendees, over 95% selected Aprèz as their favourite option. Now that we have hit the market, we are excited to see how the spritz is received on a more broader scale.”
