Cultivate Sustainability conference to address Canada’s agrifood industry’s race to net zero

Food processors and manufacturers across Canada are invited to attend the Cultivate Sustainability conference, a premier event aimed at guiding and informing the agrifood industry on the race to achieve net-zero emissions. The conference will take place on February 6, 2024, at the Victoria Inn in Winnipeg.

Keynote speakers include Maple Leaf, the world’s first major carbon-neutral food company. Sobeys will also share insights on their sustainable efforts. Cadmus Delorme from the Cowessess First Nation will inspire with Indigenous-led agrifood systems focused on profit, sustainability, and cultural rejuvenation.

Participants can also dive into workshops with experts from Food Matters Manitoba, CODE by Winnipeg Chamber of Commerce, Red River College Prairie Research Kitchen, and more!

Tickets include breakfast, lunch, access to all keynotes plus three workshops.

The conference will serve as a platform for decision makers, politicians, and small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) business owners to gather and engage in meaningful discussions about the steps needed to prepare the agrifood industry for a sustainable future.

With the support of Food Supply Chain Canada and the Manitoba Government, the Cultivate Sustainability conference will feature interactive workshops, panel discussions, and expert-led sessions, focusing on the theme “The race to net zero and what it means for Canada’s agrifood industry.” Attendees will gain valuable knowledge, strategies, and best practices to navigate the changing landscape of sustainability and make informed decisions for their businesses.
