As part of its strategy to offer ingredients that can transform the ordinary into the exceptional, Dawn Foods UK and Ireland has expanded its range of Delicreams with the launch of creamy fillings in Coconut and Bueno flavours.
Dawn Delicream Coconut is bursting with tropical flavour – thanks to the use of 7% real coconut paste. Currently one of the fastest growing flavour trends in many food and drink categories, coconut is the perfect choice for summer bakes. Dawn is recommending that bakers pipe the creamy Delicream Coconut on to cupcakes, and top with freeze dried pineapple, or use as a creamy indulgent filling for a Whoopie Pie made using Dawn Crème Cake Base – Chocolate.
Dawn Delicream Bueno combines an intense hazelnut taste with white chocolate to easily create delicious on-trend bakes. This quality filling contains real hazelnuts and has a smooth and creamy texture making it perfect for filling doughnuts and pastries. Dawn suggests generous swirls of Delicream Bueno topped on Dawn Genoese Cake Base – Chocolate Dark Devils and then decorated with Dobla chocolate curls.

Dawn says the new Delicreams are ideal for spreading, piping or as a filling. Both products are ready-to-use straight from the pail, although for more delicate work bakers can also heat the Delicreams gently for better malleability. These indulgent fillings have a smooth and creamy texture and an intense natural flavour so they can add a delicious dimension that will transform all kinds of sweet bakes including doughnuts, muffins, cookies and traybakes. As the fillings do not contain water, they are ideal for longer shelf-life applications too.
Dawn Delicream Coconut and Dawn Delicream Bueno do not contain hydrogenated fats and contain only RSPO SG palm oil. And although developed to be applied post-bake, the new
Delicreams also have medium bake stability, making them an interesting option for filling cookies for example, pre-bake to give a delicious soft centre.
