Dollar General, Publix, Giant Eagle top the week’s headlines

In this week’s recap of the Top 10 most popular Supermarket News articles, the top story was Publix introduces 9 limited-time private label ice cream flavors. Publix has launched nine limited-time own brand ice cream flavors for the fall / winter season. Most flavors are available in quart-size cartons; however, three flavors — Peppermint Stick, Pumpkin Pie and Santa’s White Christmas — are only available in the half-gallon size.

In other news, Amazon said it was diving into AI as it announced positive third quarter results, reports Yahoo. The delivery giants’ CEO Andy Jassy said during the earnings call that AI is an opportunity that is worth tens of billions of dollars for Amazon Web Services (AWS).
