Continuing its mission shift toward becoming the “local commerce app,” DoorDash has introduced a suite of new products designed to help merchants manage and grow their businesses:

The restaurant industry has faced significant challenges in recent years, and it’s more important than ever for merchants to find innovative ways to grow their sales and increase profitability. The DoorDash Commerce Platform is designed to meet this need.”

In recent years DoorDash has been steadily expanding the number and types of retailers it works with. During the last few months alone, DoorDash has partnered with Michaels and Save a Lot, Mattress Firm, H Mart and Aveda.
This latest service expansion by DoorDash follows similar moves at other retailers to package their logistics and technology expertise and offer them as white label services to brands. Most notably, DoorDash competitor Instacart launched a similar white label solution in 2022 called Instacart Platform that helps grocers build out their ecommerce and fulfillment offerings.
