Ecommerce platform eGrowcery announced the release of an AI-powered recipe generator tool that includes 70,000 recipes that grocers can personalize based on their inventory and shopper preference.
The tool uses AI to recommend items in the store needed for the recipes that shoppers can include in their orders by clicking “add to cart,” the tech company said.
“We are always seeking to improve the shopper experience, drive additional sales for our retailers and help them grow market share. Our approach to this recipe initiative does just that and more by creating a deep and powerful approach to provide shoppers with what they want when and where they want it,” eGrowcery CEO Patrick Hughes said in a press release.
eGrowcery launched the tool in Q2 and plans to enhance it before the end of the year “as retailer, supplier and shopper behavior is monitored and then optimized for universal success,” the company said.
The tech follows a similar strategy taken by other grocers, such as Albertsons, which announced a partnership with ecommerce advertising platform Chicory in November 2023 to feature its shoppable recipe technology.
