Eight food processing companies scale up and grow in southern Ontario

The recipients of the investment, delivered by FedDev Ontario, are: Ottawa Valley Grain Products, Andriani Ltd., Aspire Bakeries, Baxter’s Bakery, Demetres Manufactory, O’Doughs, Picard Peanuts and Schep’s Bakeries.

The announcement was made June 28 at Ottawa Valley Grains  Products in Carp, Ont. by Jenna Sudds, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development and Member of Parliament for Kanata–Carleton, on behalf of Filomena Tassi, Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario.

Ottawa Valley Grain Products will use its $3 million investment to build a new grain mill in Almonte.

“Building this new facility marks a significant milestone for Ottawa Valley Grain Products and the entire local grain industry. This investment not only supports our growth but also strengthens the economic fabric of our agricultural community,” said Jennifer Stewart, president, Ottawa Valley Grain Products, in a press release.
