Farmfair names top bull, cow

An Angus bull and a Charolais cow came out on top at Farmfair International, which was held Nov. 10-13 in Edmonton after a one-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Two-year-old bull DMM MAXIMUS 18G, owned by Miller Wilson Angus and Little Willow Creek of Bashaw, Alta., was named supreme champion bull, while three-year-old female BRCHE BERKLY ANN 8507F, owned by Prairie Cove Charolais and Cays Cattle of Bashaw, Alta., was named supreme champion female.

FarmFair said the show had more than 1,000 entries, which was more than what was seen in 2019. Exhibitors came from Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, British Columbia and Alberta.

Eighteen international delegates from Mexico, Argentina, Scotland, South Africa, Brazil, Australia, and the United States also attended.
